• Responsive Touch Screen: This is the primary display for mode pages, parameter values, and visual feedback like the zoom window and output level meter.
• Tactile Potentiometers & Encoders: Four encoders (1-4) directly control parameter values. Dedicated encoder scale modifiers (FINE, CRS) allow for ultra-fine to coarse adjustments of encoder values. A global volume and global filter potentiometer offer quick access to essential controls.
• Dedicated Buttons & Touch Sensors: Access various functions and modes instantly with buttons for power, menu, track play/select, octave up/down, record mode, SHIFT, CPY (Copy), ABS (Absolute), RND (Randomize), and CLEAR.

Deep Sample & Loop Manipulation: Cumulus provides extensive control over your samples and loops:

• Flexible Loop Adjustments: Individually set loop start (Encoder 1) and end points (Encoder 2), or adjust both simultaneously with Encoder 3. Encoder 4 controls the play speed of each track. The zoom utility allows for precise loop point selection within the waveform display.
• Multi-Track Playback: Play samples via MIDI, the onboard keyboard, or the track play buttons (1-4). Play modes include UNISON (all tracks together), POLY (polyphonic synth voices), MPE (with polyphonic aftertouch and slide, CC#74), and POLYCH (each track on a separate MIDI channel).
• Advanced Track Management: Easily select single, multiple, or all tracks for editing. The unique ABS (Absolute) Mode allows all selected tracks to jump to the “key” track’s parameter values. The CPY (Copy) function lets you duplicate all parameters from one track to another.
• Latching Tracks: Sustain notes indefinitely by playing a note and tapping the corresponding track.

Expansive Sound Design Tools: Shape your sound with a comprehensive suite of effects and modulation capabilities:

• Global Filter: Affects all tracks before the reverb. It offers Low-Pass, Band-Pass, and High-Pass types with adjustable resonance.
• Per-Track Stereo Resonant Filters: Each track features its own stereo low-pass resonant filters with controls for frequency (FREQ), resonance (RES), and drive (DRIVE). Filters can self-oscillate if resonance is over 1.0 and track with the keyboard if frequency is set to 0.
• Dual LFOs per Track: Two independent Low-Frequency Oscillators (LFO 1 and LFO 2) per track offer Sine, Triangle, Saw, Square, or Random waveforms. Control frequency (FREQ) and amplitude (AMP). LFO speed can be synced to an external MIDI clock.
• Dual 6-Stage Envelopes per Track: Each track has an AMP ENV and MOD ENV with adjustable Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release, Delay, and Hold times. Envelopes can also be set to loop.
• Vast Modulation Matrix: Cumulus features a very large modulation matrix per track, allowing all internal sources (AMP ENV, MOD ENV, LFO 1, LFO 2) and MIDI sources (Velocity, Aftertouch, CC#74, Keytracking) to modulate 32 destinations simultaneously with positive or negative amounts.
• Global Reverb: A high-quality reverb placed at the end of the audio chain, affecting all tracks, with adjustable Size, Diffusion, Low Pass, and Mix parameters.

• Versatile Recording: Record samples from Line In, Mic, USB, or Resample Cumulus’s own output. Set a recording threshold for automatic start, and record up to 45 seconds per sample.
• Live Mode: Transform Cumulus into a real-time effect processor. Incoming audio replaces samples, with adjustable buffer size and feedback. Quickly toggle live mode on/off for seamless performance.
• Randomization: Inject instant inspiration by randomizing parameters for an entire mode or a selected track, with options to include/exclude pitch and loop data.
• Clear Function: Reset all parameters for a specific mode or an entire track with ease.

• Comprehensive Connectivity: Features 3.5mm TRS-A MIDI input, Line level audio input and output, a headphone output, and USB-C for audio input, power, battery charging, and MIDI input. An onboard microphone is also included.
• Micro SD Card Storage: Store and manage your samples and presets with dedicated folders. Samples must be 44.1kHz, 16-bit, and under 8MB.
• Preset Management: Save and load your entire patch configurations, including sample references, with ease. Rename and delete samples and presets directly on the device.
